Mist Rom Manager Project

Mist is a going to be a lightweight, and easy-to-use alternative to Steam Rom Manager (SRM). Being built from the ground up to clear the clutter out of modern emulation management, it is going to help you integrate your classic gaming library directly into Steam.

Frustrated by the heavy resource footprint and overly complex codebase configurations of existing tools, I am setting out to create an alternative that focuses purely on lightweight code design and UX simplicity and cleaness. When complete, Mist will be a fast, responsive, and reliable tool for managing your ROMs and emulators without the bloat of tools like SRM, I expect Mist's cross-platform binaries to be significantly smaller (being about less than 2MB for the complete application.) For perspective, Steam Rom Manager's releases clock in at around 130MB.
